Position: Full Time; Evenings, Nights

Job Description:
-
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications,
- Prepare specifications of article to be made,
- Trim joints and fit parts together,
- Sand wooden surfaces,
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products,
- Prepare shop drawings,
- Prepare layouts for wood articles,
- Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines to cut shape and form parts,
- Operate power actuated tools,
- Machine components for cabinets, furniture and other items,
- Laminate cabinet and furniture components,
- Prepare and apply inlays, Prepare and apply veneers,
- Prepare and apply laminated plastics,
- Prepare and apply solid surfaces,
- Design and make templates, jigs and fixtures for production of furniture and other products,
- Select and cut vinyl to form parts of wood products,
- Knowledge of spray processes and material,
- Instruct apprentices,
- Maintain clean and safe work environment,
- Supervise other workers,
- Complete appropriate paper work,
- Ensure that assigned assembly functions are completed in accordance with approved quality expectations and in an allotted amount of time,
- Comply with Shaw Woodworks policies and procedures.

CNC Programmer
Position: Full Time

Job Description:
- Program, Edit and set up CNC programs from shop drawings
- Develop and carry out work study
- Conduct work measurement or other studies
- Develop computer applications for machines and processes
- Collect and compile operational or experimental dataDetermine the sequence of shaping operations and choose the cutting tools needed.
- Analyzes job orders, drawings, blueprints and other data and performs the necessary calculations
- Review three-dimensional computer-aided/automated design (CAD) blueprints
- Translates instructions into a computer aided/automated manufacturing (CAM) program
- Check the program for errors
